RE: [LML] Re: Landing Gear pump inop
Hello all,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the input into my gear pump problem. I received 4 comments about the pressure probably being above the limit set on the up-limit switch (1200lbs), preventing my pump from turning on and raising the gear. I went to the airport on Friday to crack one of the lines open to relieve excess pressure. But before I did this, I turned my master on and the pump burped, indicating the pressure had relieved itself.
Thanks for all the help. I'll carry a set of wrenches and a rag in case this happens again. It only happened once in 2 years of flying. From now on, I'll verify that the pump runs during my preflight. And after I shut down, I'll open- then close the dump valve to relieve static pressure.
Thanks for all the help. Marv, thanks for running this service for us. The assistance is invaluable.

Hmm. I hope I can make it to Sun N Fun! I went out for a short hop last night, and my gear didn't come up. Back on the ground, I recognized that the pump won't run in either direction. With the dump valve open, it should run continuously, but it doesn't.
I don't think this will be a big problem, but I sure don't have much time over the next week to figure this out. I'm posting this with hopes someone on the list can help point me in the right direction, and save me lots of time troubleshooting. I suppose the problem must be in the switch, power supply, or continuity through either of my two circuit breakers. Please respond directly to my email address.
Thanks for any suggestions...
