What a great idea and already the research
and testing has been done. Thanks.
What I’ve decided to do is have a
thin head bolt “machined”. The machined one will have a .125”
thick head on it that is actually a tab that reaches 1.5”-2” or so
inboard. I can drill a hole through that and attach as the plans would as if it
were the .090” aluminum pin holder.
Think that’ll work?
Thanks again y’all …
Sand a lot … fill a little …
sand a lot more.

Drill a 2 inch hole-saw opening in the spar close out panel
adjacent to and outboard of the bolt so your fingers and wrench can
tighten a lock nut on the bolt.
