Might just as well use the armstrong method for tightening your fasteners - at least you can feel when the bolt begins to twist off! Brent Sanchez's note regarding getting your wrenches calibrated at Sacramento Sky Ranch is right on! A note of caution however - with something as important as correct torque settings on your airplane - the junk you usually find at Harbor Freight and the likes might not even be capable of being calibrated, or if it is, most likely won't hold the calibration after using it a while. Most (like 99%) of the tools available there are made in China and they just haven't come up to the quality of most made-in-USA tools, both in finish and necessary quality alloys. Not to say everything with a made in USA label is of the quality we should be using, either (remember, you're going to put your butt in this thing and go fly). Bottom line, you're going to put a lot of bucks in your Lancair, the quality of this particular tool should be commensurate.
