Attached are pictures of my ECI cold air sump and custom exhaust from aircraftexhaust.net (made from a PVC mockup kit). Also shown are the areas that needed to be modified for clearance on my cowling (non stock carbon cowling I made).
On a recent flight, I tested the system and was able to run up to 92 degrees LOP before the engine began to run rough. At 8k Density Alt, 2300/23, Ram Air Closed (partially throttled back) ~65% power and ~70 degrees LOP I saw 181kts TAS at 7.3 gph. My gph spread from first to last to peak is ~0.2gph. With the ram air open at higher altitudes (>11k msl), I see a similar gph spread, but am not able to run near a far LOP and am working to improve this. On the return trip at 17.5 msl (19k DA), running 2300 rpm, WOT, ram air open, ~ 50% power, I saw a ~178 kt TAS on fuel flow of just over 7gph running ~60 degrees ROP (was unable to run LOP smoothly).
