Gene,

I did not notice any change in the effectiveness of the brakes.  They still fade quite easily.  The only reason I made the change was for ease of maintenance.

Gerard,

I replaced my original Matco brake cylinders (reservoir on top) at the brake pedals with the newer remote reservoir cylinders.  The remote reservoir I mounted on the firewall is from Van's (VA-107) as it is small and more compact (round aluminum tubing with welded bracket and fitting) than the larger square box looking (and red) reservoir supplied with the Lancair kits.  The Van's reservoir has a special breather cap.

I got tired of the difficulty in checking the fluid supply on the old style top reservoirs at the pedal.  Very inconvenient to access.
