I was checking the specs on the TSIO-550E
and noticed that only RHB32E massive electrode plugs are approved. My
understanding was that fine wire plugs were preferred for turbocharged engines.
The Ram Aircraft website prefers them, making the case that they provide better
ignition, less strain on the magnetos, and they last longer.
Any thoughts on why they
aren't approved for this engine?
