They did not seem to fit correctly from the side's when I installed them. I do use a folding suction cup one on long cross country flights to block the sun from the side.

Ron:  Could you have installed the visors the other way around?  It appears in your photo that your mounting points are in the center of the windshield versus on the outsides.  Seems that side mounting points (far left and far right) like in a car, would allow the visors to be swung to the sides to block the sun if it were coming in directly from the left or right of the aircraft.

I installed them in an ES. I used 1/4 " phenolic blocks same shape as the rosen mount. I drilled and tapped the phenolic.

I then bonded the phenolic to the plane with hysol.

My wife gave me a present of a set of Rosen Sun Visors That are supposed to match the IV-P (according to Rosen and supposedly Lancair). Lancair does not have a recommended installation method. They have a 2 inch metal pad with three holes designed to directly replace the Bonanza sun visors. Total weight about a pound each

Has anyone put these into a IV-P? If so what was the mounting method? Any experiences or issues to offer?

.
