I think that your summary of the positions stated was excellent. Risk/  
reward is a continuum that we all must deal with in the design/ build/ fly  stages 
of our project. I am not advocating zero risk but am certainly  encouraging 
sound thought into the design-- especially for those who will put  their 
children and grandchildren in these machines. 
 
Paul, Brent, Hamid and myself have all explored the plusses and minuses of  
instrumentation in the Lancair ad nauseum on this list. I hope this exercise 
has  helped those now designing and building a new panel. I apologize if I have  
insulted anyone.
