I'm not the builder of my 360, but my mains will not freefall down and lock
either. When I bought the airplane, I did several hours of flying with an
instructor in San Diego (where the airplane was built). We, of course, did
several gear extension tests by lowering the dump valve and letting the gear
freefall. The mains never locked down the first time. It always took a little
"ruddering" (new word) to get the gear down and locked with 3 green. Of course
that will be tough to do with the airplane on jacks. Not sure if the mains
should freefall without swinging it around a bit, but mine won't without, and
never failed to do it with...
