The wires can be glued = behind the rollover structure and then covered. Or you can drill a hole = in the rollover structure, where it will be covered by the console, and = fish the wires through the rollover. If you're going this route fish = the wires through without any attachments on them. One potential down = side to mounting the jacks in the overhead console is the headset cords = can get in the way when accessing the baggage compartment. Of course = all you have to do is unplug them when getting at the baggage = compartment, but if you don't feel like plugging and unplugging cords = there are other options. Another mounting location I've worked with is to mount the jacks behind = the seats at the top of the seatback, in the corners near the rear = windows. I've seen a variety of simple mounting brackets fabricated = from fiberglass for the jack mounting. Some of the brackets have had = the jacks mounted in the side so the plugs go in horizontally, some have = mounted the jacks on the top surface so the plugs go in vertically. =20 You could mount them in the panel, but panel space can be scarce on a = Legacy and I think the headset cords can be more in the way when mounted = there. On the up side you don't have to fish wires through the console = or rollover and it's easy to check that your headset plugs are fully = seated when in flight.
