In this case the switch is mounted to detect the flap 2/3 extension position. The micro switch arm extends into the guidance rod channel and rides on the rod until the end passes and trips the switch. The sw is mounted on a wee angle secured to the device in the same manner as the magnetic limit switches. Were I to do it again for the 300 series, I would sense 1/3 flaps (15 degrees, 8 degrees out of reflex) and recalibrate) which would move the switch to the left about 1.5 inches.
