This was our fifth annual Lancair fly-in, but the first = time we could fly to it! We stayed at the Hangar Hotel, which is on the = flight line and next to the hangar where lunch and dinner were served. = A handful of Lancair employees, lead by Kimbra, worked constantly to = make it a success. There were forty or so Lancairs. I could be wrong, = but it seemed like more four-seaters and fewer two-seater models flew in = than in past years. The food and beer were great (and free!), the fellowship with other = Lancerians was fun, and the facilities were terrific. Thanks, Lancair! = I particularly enjoyed making so many new friends, although I missed = the west coast "regulars" who didn't make this one. We flew there from northern California Friday morning and were in IMC = for an hour or two after crossing into Nevada, but it was a smooth ride = all the way.
