What I was trying to say is that if my rpm didn't increase
during the take-off role, that is how long and how far I would travel to
lift-off at 65mph IAS with no airframe drag. The tower has told me my TO run is
about 1000' at 500'-1000' dalt. Actually, my rpm does increase to 2400-2430
at 65mph IAS, and typically holds that rpm during climb at 110mph IAS which
gives 1400-1550 ft/min ROC at 1500' dalt, 1350lb. This works out to about
82% prop efficiency at that point, assuming 125HP on my O-235 L2C, with 9.7:1
CR, more like an O-235F.
