Hey John,
Re-Doing my panel in a legacy, I put my tru-trak autopilot at the bottom of my stack. It's really personal preference.
Being at the bottom of the stack seems more convenient. For autopilot adjustments, my hand knows right where to go. I never really had
to look over to the radio stack because it's the last box in the stack, if that makes sense. I had the same setup on my previous Glasair. But, again It's personal preference. By the way . . ."Very Nice Panel!!!"
Best Wishes
Jeff

Subject: [LML] panel question
I am finalizing the setup of my instrument panel -- LIVP. Gary Wirrell of
Aerotronics wants to know if I prefer the Tru Trak AP on the bottom of the
stack as in the attached picture or have the transponder (one position up)
swap places so that the Tru Trak is one position up.
Does anyone have a personal preference for this? Theoretically I will be
letting my fingers do the walking on the AP controls more frequently than
the TXPDR. Am looking for advice and rationale.
