Just a crazy thought, but you could install the RDD de-ice system.  That would eliminate the paint problem and add an often desired feature as well.  Their system has now been applied to the Legacy, ES/ES-P, and the IV-P.

Subject: Leading edge strips.

The time has come for a solution for the smattering of the pin-head paint chips at various points along the leading edge.

So would like to hear some advice as to how you all went about fixing it – whether a paint touch up, which would be a bit motley looking, or a full span paint strip, but wondered if that would blend in without a line, or perhaps a vinyl strip, which I can get made.

All suggestions given due consideration
