I don't know if anybody heard about John Parker's Thunder Mustang being destroyed a couple days ago.  Apparently he aborted a takeoff and rolled into some grass at the end of the runway.  The hot brakes ignited the grass and consumed the aircraft.  John is fine.  I heard about it through another Thunder Mustang owner.

 

With Reno right around the corner, I thought everyone would be interested.
