Hi Joe,
You know that I purchased my panel (2
screen Chelton, Garmin, etc) for my ES from Lancair
Avionics. I have been extremely
satisfied and the workmanship is incredible. I am now building a Legacy and have had Lancair
Avionics bid on a panel for me. Just to test the market I can tell you
that for the identical panel your prices are very high compared to other
reputable shops like Aerotronics. (Not fly by night outfits). I certainly want to continue with you
but in all honesty you have to come down.
Perhaps not dollar for dollar but certainly get close. I am talking $83,000 compared to $60,000.
Sincerely,
Bryan J. Burr

OK everyone, I'm looking for input from those of you who may have gone to
avionics shops other than Lancair's. What were the reasons for you going
outside of Lancair for purchased of your instrument panel. What can Lancair
Avionics do to be more competitive in our own market? I invite you to respond
