A few weeks ago I asked listers about feedback squeal in
Lightspeed 3G
headsets.
I submitted to Lightspeed an email to see if they had any advice and also to
the retailer I bought them from.
Lightspeed were helpful and sent a set of new ear seals for both headsets.
I installed the seals as per instructions on the headset my wife uses, then
picked up mine to replace the original seals.
When I removed the left cup's seals I found the cup itself was cracked. A
relatively large crack completely through the plastic from the end to the
cord entry. (See Photo)
I have never looked at the cup that closely and have never before removed
the seals. Unprovable, but I suspect the cup was cracked during the original
installation of the ear seals, either at factory or by the dealer depending
on how they arrange delivery.
I imagine that as the problem has existed since I've had them I hope
Lightspeed might come to the party to replace the headset.
