FWIW...and considering that I have quite a few years of M/B seat time, I had to say that without the "option", I tend to think twice (or more) about decisions that I wouldnt have given a second thought to, way back when.....(mountain, night, IFR, water, etc)... OR is that just old age speaking??????? Would the B.S. make a difference today.?.......Probably! How much of a difference? Depends!!!! Would I add a B.S. if available as an option?
