I have gotten away with pasture landings before in my 52 yr flying but = the LIV has 20K more to dissipate. There was an explosion and smoke in the engine compartment which led me = to a fast decent and less time selecting a landing site. NTSB has aircraft impounded and = Continental has the=20 engine.
