Hamid:

There were two main reasons for my decision to have a BRS chute
installed in Evolution:
1) Pilot incapacitation; and,
2) Marketing.

It seems that Cirrus sells approximately 40% of its aircraft to people
who insist on the chute. I doubt that I would ever pull the chute
willingly, however, with proper training, a must by the way, and with
my family or other non pilots on board, I would expect them to pull the
chute and save our respective lives!

Pete Zaccagnino has a significant new area to teach and that is how and
when to pull the chute. You can be assured that some will prematurely
pull the chute, however, that will be as instinctive to them as an
improper pre-flight was that more likely than not created the occasion
that made them want to pull the chute.

Pete will "...teach pilots, not pullets."
