Doug-
The Koni shocks were designed by John Spry, who is a 320 builder in New Zealand.  They are actually a failure-proof coil spring/dampener assembly. He had them manufactured in lots of 10 to 20 when they were actively selling; however, the 320 market has saturated and sales have dwindled in the last couple of years. I believe he would need orders for at least ten in order to have another lot manufactured.
I purchased a set seven years ago and have been VERY happy with them.
You have to specify the required length when ordering, corresponding to the length of your currently installed doughnuts. One small drawback is that there is no mechanisim to easily adjust the length; but correctly specified at the outset, you shouldn't ever have to adjust them.
I made the mistake of specifing my lengths so that the tires cleared the closeout ribs by only 1/8 inch.  You should allow for at least 1/4" clearance. Eventually,  one of the 'high-quality' Cheng-Shin Chinese tires was a little larger diameter than normal and a little out-of-round (actually, I believe many of them are a little out-of-round) so that it rubbed the closeout rib and I realized my mistake of cutting that clearance too close. You have to fully compress the shock to gain access to the length adjustment mechansim and that requires a sturdy compression plate assembly. I'm fortunate to have a friendly and extremely competent local machinest at a local ship repair company who fabricated a compression plate assembly for me, not even charging me for it.
It consists of two 1/4" thick steel end plates with a 3/4" diameter all-thread bolt at each corner. He even beveled the receiving hole in one of the end plates so the shock will not even be scratched in the compression process.
If anyone with Koni shocks would like to borrow it, I'd be glad to ship it to you. You wouldn't even have to return it, just keep it and pass it along to whomever might need it on request and we can keep track of who has it.

Does anyone have the part/model number for the Koni Shocks used for the Lancair 360?

Thanks
