Hi Rob,
I didn't mean the Bob Weight was directly over the pivot bolt.  I meant the Fwd Push tube Rod end was directly below the Pivot Bolt when i did the dimensions for the aft tube.  Because of this the aft tube is too short.  What the plans should say is not to worry about where the FWD push tube rod end bolt is as long as its accessible thru the cut out in some area of the stick movement. And rather focus on getting the bob weight as low as possible with out hitting the rear tube and use that as a measurement for cutting the rear tube to length.  Since I followed the plans without really researching it I ended up cutting my aft tube about 1" too short.
I agree with you what is another $100 in the grand scheme.  Its just frustrating because this is the second one I will have messed up so its really $200 for this one pushtube and the work involved building it.  So If its not necessary I really do not want to rebuild it.

Chris,
I am at the limit of my rod end adjustments and at the current set up with bob weight on the underside like yours it hangs about 3/4" off the rear tube with Full fwd stick.
At full aft stick the bob weight does not interfer with any bulkheads and does not hit the tube so I think Im good.

Appreciate all the input.
Bryan

Thanks for the input guys.  I talked to Lancair today and the problem
is that since I followed the set up in my plans it ends up with the
after pushrod being too short.  So I either have to make my aft
pushrod longer (costs about $100 in parts and shipping) or I did take
my bob weight and mounted it on the underside of the bellcrank arms.
This  brings the mass lower and closer to the pushrod.  Lancair
didn't see anything wrong with doing this.  Anybody have any comments
on this approach?
Bryan

At the other end of the elevator travel with the bob-weight arm up high, will it be in conflict with the rear bulkhead hat shelf and close-out panel?
