Terrence,
My cooling plenum arrangement is is made of the Lancair baffling kit and upgraded by the plenum diffusers, inlets ,and plenum top made by Chris Zavatson. The oil cooler is where he designed this arrangement and had sucess reducing oil temps, CHTs, and cooling drag. I saw his mods prior to beginning my baffling and went straight to this design. Chris also built a whole new cowling but I elected to modify my old one to work with his pieces. We shall see how this all works later this year when hopefully I'll get to go flying. As far as the "box", if you're referring to the inlet diffusers I don't remember exactly what the diameter is but I can measure them when I get home in a couple of days.     Kai

ps. Over the years of attending flyins and inspecting as many L320/360s as I had an oppurtunity to I have seen oil coolers all over the place.
