I think that's a good idea. Probably not too late for this year, either. Last year I was on the East side of the Lake in my Lancair and simply told them who I was, where I was, and that I wanted the warbird arrival...they granted it to me without any problems. This is not an endorsement of the procedure, but because it's arrival I'm familiar with, I thought it was safer for me. IF you do call and get permission granted, be VERY WEARY of Warbird Island....some people get their right hand and left hand orbits confused and if there are planes holding at the island it can get a bit sporting. Most of the time, however, it's a walk in the park...and I think the EAA would be wise in adopting this procedure for the fast glass. FWIW, Barry PS If you go to OSH, be sure to check out Wendell Solesbee's IV- P...I don't know how you can get any better than the plane he and his wife Martha built! --Apple-Mail-23-176162894 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1
