Logic has nothing to do with true or false. Logic has to do with valid or invalid arguments. "Correct" is not a term used in logic.

non-Euclidean geometry was developed with what you might call an incorrect definition.

Scientists and philosophers deal with truth, mathematicians and logicians deal with validity. There is a big difference.

I love logic, and would add:
Logic is the science of correct thinking, by which, when starting with incorrect definitions or false  statements, a perfectly locigal, correct but false answer will result.
