Halon does not absorb or consume oxygen, it blocks combustion.  It  
does displace air (and oxygen) however and one of the early Quickie  
Q2 builders died testing a medium size Halon extinguisher inside the  
small volume cockpit.  You need to fit the extinguisher to the space.
