Well I do not think that makes a difference in KIAS--only gauge
installation error and since we are all probably using the same pitot probe and
generally the same location for static ports and probably have a good gauge I am
willing to bet installation error difference are very small. To the first
order MP, RPM, total temperature, and to some degree weight are taken out of the
equation. I suspect also CR, prop design differences between Hartzell, MT,
ACI etc are all also second order contributors to cruise performance as a
function of fuel burn LOP. But I ask for real world data to see.
