Ah a careful LMLer. True, or at least that is what the theory
sez. And the higher CR engines should be more "efficient", produce more HP
per gallon, no? So I repeat the question: what is everyone's KIAS at
17.5 gph LOP? I originally asked the question in terms of dollars but
got no takers, so I restated in terms of gallons because I am curious if the
higher compression engines are really faster at cruise at the same burn
rate. 17.5 is a good number for my 7.5 CR; if another is better for the
8.5 flyers let me know and I will gather some data and post.
