I am concerned with the overal height of the vertical because you have to mate the rudder up to it so if you set it too low the rudder will extend above the tip of it.

 

I also had to cut away a large amount of the flanges that touch the Horizontal.  Scalloped them out becuase I have the MKII tail.  Most of the flange is gone. IS this normal?

 

Also had to remove a substantially large amount of the fwd bulkhead tip that goes up into the Vertical.

Currently it is about 1.5 inches thick and still needs to be shaved down to fit.
