Attached are two photos of the vent in my right wing. It contains a check valve in case the vent ever becomes blocked by ice or a really big bug. The close-up shot of the vent shows the trimming that was done to reduce pressurization of the tank. With the tube simply cut and pointing forward at about 45 degrees, the fuel tank was seeing almost full ram pressure as measured by a second ASI. At that pressure, rib locations were visible in flight! The bottom was filed flat until pressure was reduced to 0.15 psi.
Water has never made it into the fuel tank.
