Many of the GlaStars flying have aux tanks and to the best of my
knowledge none in the US has a gauge in the tip tanks but all in the UK
do - because of their strict adherence to the gauge requirement.  My
Lancair ES-P has a 16 gal aux tank under the cargo area and it has only
a PillarPoint "empty" indicator, but I guess that meets some broad
definition of a guage.

This topic is probably beat to death but Im not sure anyone ever
clarified it.
RE: equipment for DAY VFR flight.
FAR 91.205   (9)  Fuel Gauge indicating the quantity of fuel in each
tank.
How has everyone been meeting this requirement without gauges for the
wing tanks?
