AD 2006-18-15 effective Sept 25, 2006 Basically, older constant speed Hartzel hubs must be replaced within 50 = hrs or at least inspected (via eddy current) every year or 100 hrs = thereafter. My prop shop wants $700 for the inspection and reseal. The = new hub is $3800 or so. If you've been good and had the prop overhauled = regularly as Hartzel recommends, you get 50% off the new hub or 40% off = a whole new prop. Maybe worse - the more popular hubs are backordered 2 to 3 months. I get piles of AD's that aren't important but not this one. Check it out.
