caveat: I'm not an aerodynamics
guy. but I did ask one about this mod and the response was that you
would not feel much difference at low yaw angles but that it might remain
effective at higher yaw angles than the stock vstab.
I can also say that Mike Custard
tends not to put them on anymore, now that he has the ventral
fin.
one open item, however, is the
possibility of extending the rudder. In theory, the bottom of the
rudder is in cleaner air at high angles of attack. If you pursue
that route you might want to do something different with the ventral
fin.
