I talked this issue over with Lancair and they have indicated that the
pump should be as low as possible - under the co-pilot floorboard and
mounted sideways. I couldn't avoid a right angle, but I think the
height of the pump is the crucial element as the pump primes itself
poorly. I've attached a couple of photos of my installation. (These
and other photos in high resolution are also available. I can send
them directly to you, if you like, so as not to overload the mail
server.)
