Hi Richard,

There is only one place for it and that is on the floor unless you like the engine stopping when you change tanks? I have mine on the floor for that reason and have told many others to move it there when they complained about engine stoppage. I haven't seen any disadvantages to putting it there with the exception of replacing it, which I had to do because of the old pump slowing down the fuel flow by 2 gph when switching it on at 10K ft. and causing CHT rise. TCM told me to change the pump and then the slowing was only .5 gph and solved the CHT rise issue. I still have the old core if someone wants it to send back for overhaul. IMHO, of course.

I would think it would be quieter, but warmer on the floor.
