We always noticed on my friend's 235/320 that we had
nicely-balanced EGTs when at full throttle. At any partial throttle setting, the
butterfly valve is angled forward which tends to throw liquid fuel from the
venturi toward the forward two ducts at the top of the pan's carb duct. This
will give a richer mixture to the front two cylinders and leaner mixture
to the two rear ones.
