All,
Attached are 3D drawings of the final part. The link
is identical in every way except for the very front
where the link attaches to the strut.
There is more material there to allow for a pre oiled
brass bushing and a hardened steel sleeve. The idea is
that you will be able to tighten the bolt on the strut
without deforming the ears. This forces the wear to be
on the brass, steel and the bolt all of which are
relatively easy to replace if you ever need to.
I am still waiting for the costs to come back from the
machine shop.
When I do, I will post that info and get a count of
who wants the upgraded part.
