How would you contrast that with the ES/ES-P requirements?
Robert M. Simon
We checked out in a Lancair IV with HPAT before flying our ES. They said all speeds in pattern would be 20 knots less than the IV for our ES. We always had runway in front of us when we would turn off the runway after landing. Sebring is 5190 feet. Since getting used to the ES, I have landed on a 1500 foot portion of a paved section on a 3000'grass runway and sometimes stop before the end and sometimes run off onto the grass. I have worked off a 2500 foot grass runway with no problem. 2 people and low on fuel. This is only after gaining experiance in the ES. I prefer a mile of hard surface.
