Anybody out there have Bill Maddox speed brakes and have had them apart and have figured out how to adjust/service them.

For those inquiring minds that must know why I bought such things, the answer is that I had the old Precise Flight cable speed brakes and I had a choice of a) keeping them (in retrospect probably the best alternative) b) tearing my wing apart to fit the new and - I can only speculate why - different shaped Precise Flight brakes and c) buying the Bill Maddox brakes which were reputed to work better anyway.

Mine turned out to be DOA.   They creep out on takeoff, pop out when totally de-energized and are slow out to full extension.

Bill was unable to resolve my problem and Wolstenholm is taking a while to get a round toit.

I'm going to guess that I need some cleaning solution and a couple special tools to resolve my $4000 problem,   but I thought I would ask if anyone has been there before.

Colyn
