I bought a Lycoming TIO 580 (a Tio 540 slightly
bored) from Performance engines. I had the engine dyno tested at Custom
Airmotive in Tulsa, OK.
My results: 387 Brake HP and a whopping 744 Ft. Lb.
of torque. We had to remove the Lightspeed ignitions and replace them with mags
to get the HP where it now is.
