Interesting discussion about aileron and flap interactions and gliders.
I am a glider pilot and well aware of the complex interactions. I luv the
positive reflex of the aileron with landing flaps deployed. I wished there
was a way to do this on the takeoff roll as well (Where you are also slow,
but without flaps).
I am building a IV-P. I plan to put on the winglets. I understand a side
effect of the winglets are increased stick load for banks. Many gliders that
extend their wingspan extend the ailerons as well. I was wondering if anyone
has considered an aileron extension embedded in the winglet to get a little
better roll authority.
