The attached modification for lightning strike protection and fuel earthing was one option for a modification required by the UK Popular Flying Association in 1989. You can get the specs for 2 inch wide Radiospares 512 272 conductive tape from www.rswww.com
They also suggest attaching static discharge wicks to the conductive paths to improve radio performance.
The alternative to the conductive tape was to placard the panel "This aircraft shall not be flown in any condtions where the possibility of a lightning strike may occur." Also placards close to the filler caps stating "When refuelling, the filler nozzle is to be adequately earthed on the earth point provided." There has already been discussion on how to make the necessary earth point.
