Have been informed by suppliers (AircraftSpruce) that due to military contractors buying all available carbon fiber non will be available in the next 2-3 months, can anybody sell me some to be replaced when available again Theo Mulder 928-535-6496 (Arizona) N37ZA N42TM N522TM mulder@tlm-designs.com [Theo, you might also try some alternative sources like Fiberglast Developments (OH) or Fiberglass Coatings Inc (FL). I suspect, though, that the shortage is industry-wide and you'll have a hard time buying any CF product that's constructed of graphite tow. While we're on the subject, the folks at Fiberglast Developments recognized the impending shortage early on and decided to do something about it for people who are using CF cloth in a decorative fashion. They now carry black fiberglass... looks just like cf but doesn't have the strength or stiffness. So if you have a purely decorative need for CF (ie, panel overlay, side panel inserts, etc) this looks like a great alternative. At a fraction of the CF cost, I am sure. It's hard to believe that a couple years ago you could buy all the CF you wanted for $17-20/yard. Today you have to trade 2-3 times that amount if you can find any at all. ]
