Not to state the obvious, but I noticed this exact effect after lubricating my hinges and flying for a few hours.  Also, as mentioned, it is a well documented problem (but not at 30 hours assuming no binding).  I have installed the teflon hinge kit sold by Gary Hall? in Florida, and have had no material wear in over 400hours since installation. 
 
Chris Zavatson has done a lot of research on this hinge problem, and has another possible solution:
