The LML is just such a place to exchange and gain knowledge. Sure every plane is different, and it's up to each builder to develop it's own check list that is as unique as it's builder and plane. But one needs to have a direction and to learn from other builders what works and what does not. Just like Joe. B said "It's just a Template" I read every detail about every plane crash I can. I know most of them are totally different planes than the one I fly, yet most of the mistakes they make are no different than the ones I could make. It's all about what is safest here, and information is safety.
