Ahh, More benefits of a wee Lancair with an amply filled header
tank. Wing fuel only as necessary to get to the destination with
some remaining in the header. Ability to empty
(completely) both wings in level flight. No difficulty with unporting
of wing fuel. Hard to unport the header sump when fuel is low in the
header. No #$%$%^% selector valve that might be switched off at the
wrong moment or boost pump procedure when switching since there is no
selector. Easier aerobatic control with header fuel only. Slip
or skid to your heart's desire.
