DigiKey (http://www.digikey.com) is a great resource of anything 
electronics including connectors.  Their single piece prices are almost 
invariably higher than other places, but for that price you get reliable 
service, the likes of which I have never experienced.  If you order by 
the cutoff time, you can count on it that the right product will ship 
that day.  I routinely order for them in the evening and have the parts 
in my hand 16 hours later the next morning.

Other places to consider are Mouser (http://www.mouser.com) and Newark 
(http://www.newark.com)  With all three places, if you will be ordering 
frequently, registering and creating an account makes the online 
ordering process a lot easier.  Another big plus is that all three of 
these places are set up for and welcome the occasional buyer looking for 
very small quantities.  If you go to the AMP site and find a connector 
you like and find it in stock at some distributor that caters mainly to 
the OEM, the distributor may or may not be willing to deal with you and 
will certainly make you jump through hoops.

All that said, as a general rule, if Lancair caries it for a comparable 
price, it is most probably your best bet to buy it from them.  You can 
call Lancair and ask for help if you are stuck -- DigiKey will not 
provide that service.

For the person who was looking for the AMP website, it is : 
http://www.amp.com  AMP, Aircraft and Marine Parts, was created as a 
general DOD supplier during WW-II.  Over the next decades, it moved 
exclusively into connectors and developed a strong reputation for 
quality products.  It was bought by Tyco Electronics a few years ago.  
Tyco also owns Raychen, Potter & Brumfield and others.  For a while they 
were pushing the Tyco name and de-emphasizing the AMP name, but they 
seem to have backed off on that.  However, you may see AMP and and 
Raychem products listed as Tyco products.
