For Ian Crowe:
Here's an alternate suggestion:
Instead of using lots of connectors (read, lots of potential failure nodes) for
your right side panel, why not make a new panel with a piano hinge at the
bottom? You'll have to make all the final connections to the airplane
wiring with the panel in place, but you can do it sitting comfortably in the
airplane, instead of wedged upside down underneath. Bring all the wires to
one lower corner or the other, with enough service loop to let the panel swing
up and down without pulling any wires. I usually put a cord or light chain
between the top of the panel frame and the panel section to limit downward
travel to about 90 degrees.
