There have been recent references to a "crash hammer." This is my device for
getting out of the airplane in a hurry and in an emergency. Driving the knife
straight up into the canopy, then sliced, the plexiglass can then be pushed
aside and out you go.
The knife can be covered with bags so it might need to be moved on some trips
to keep it available to the crew.
